Dr. Rebecca Hammons

Dr. Rebecca Hammons is an experienced quality manager and software quality professional seeking opportunities to help your company improve its business and software development processes to optimize your business results. She has over 40 years of quality management experience in the software industry with companies such as Apple, IBM, Wang, and Raytheon, and 6 years of experience as an associate professor in the Center for Information and Communication Sciences at Ball State University, a technology-oriented graduate program. 

Comfortable working with large or small teams, and at any organizational level of responsibility, Rebecca is focused on delivering the outcomes you require to sustain continuous improvements within your company. Key strengths include problem solving, an achievement orientation, and a deep sense of responsibility to her clients. 

Rebecca has experience with a variety of quality models such as CMMI, ISO 9001, and ITIL, and excels at guiding companies to greater levels of quality, efficiency, and productivity through the interpretation and use of industry standard best practices. On the creative side, Rebecca teaches Human Factors, or the design of the user experience for software and services, to master’s students. Additional expertise, both hands-on and through instruction, includes Product Management, Software Quality Assurance, Communication Theory and Practice, Project Management, and Positive Psychology. 

Rebecca is a versatile technology industry professional with a servant leadership mindset and a lifelong learning orientation. She is a graduate of Michigan State University (B.A.), Ball State University (M.A., Ed.D.), and the University of Missouri (Grad. Cert.). She also holds certifications with the American Society for Quality as a Certified Quality Manager and Certified Software Quality Engineer in addition to being a Certified Scrum Master and Certified Product Owner with Scrum.org.
